In early October, I had the incredible experience of traveling to New Berlin, New York, for the opening of my solo exhibition, Quiet Tide, at the Sam and Adele Golden Gallery (SAGG). This exhibition showcases over 18 years of my watercolor work, highlighting my use of a limited palette to create expressive, layered portraits that convey a sense of depth and emotion. It’s an honor to display my work in this space, which celebrates my ongoing collaboration with Golden Artist Colors, known for their dedication to innovation in art materials.
I arrived a few days early, which gave me the opportunity to connect with some members of my watercolor community, “The Aligators”. Our time together will forever be in my heart. We toured the Golden facility, enjoyed a walk-through of the exhibition, spent time sitting together as I demonstrated my painting techniques, and even spent a day sightseeing. Sharing this time with the Aligators made the opening especially meaningful, as we celebrated not only the art on the walls but also meaningful friendships. Quiet Tide runs through February 14, 2025. I hope you’ll be able to visit if you’re in the area!
